Greg journeyed "across the pond" to London in February 2007. Right, he emerges from a traditional British phone booth in front of Big Ben.

Last but not least, while they were in England, they journeyed to the city of York, home of the National Railway Museum and the largest gothic cathedral in Europe.

Greg in London
Above, the chorus line sings Cole Porter's "You're the Top" to Nanny, Greg's grandmother on his Dad's side. The "Top" indeed, it was Nanny's 80th birthday! From left to right, Aunt Kit, cousins Alex and Sophie, Greg and his Dad.

Right Nanny and her grandchildren:
Greg, Alex and Sophie.
Greg returned to Camp Deerwood for his third year and had a great time. Above, standing in front of his cabin, Plaza, on Parents' Visiting Day.

Right, he takes aim
like a modern day Robin Hood.
Right, Greg lines up a shot with a .22 calibre target rifle. (Don't mess with him, he's a very good shot.)
Below, Greg in the cast of the camp show. His character is trying to inspire his cabinmates to write a skit for the show. Below right, channeling the Risky Business Tom Cruise, Greg explains directly to the audience how tough the creative life is at camp.
Above, the skit's cast in their finale of their show within a show.

Right, For Greg's 13th birthday, instead of more photos of him huffing and puffing over the candles, we present a birthday card from his friend Ethan.

The "L.L.L." stands for Lunar Landing Loftus. When Greg's Mom was pregnant with him, her due date was July 20, 1994 — the 25th Anniversary of the first lunar landing. Greg's Dad, ever the sophisticate, said that if "you have a boy on that date, we should name him Lunar Landing Loftus." To which Mom replied, "I'm going to cross my legs and hold the baby in for a week!"

Greg was born on July 26 (almost the whole week that Mom promised in response to Dad's idiocy) but Greg loved the nickname "Lunar." His movie company is called Moonlight Pictures, and his special effects firm is Lunar Eclipse. Get it?

Anyway, Ethan captured Greg's lunar aspirations in this wonderful card.

Above, Greg and his cousin Alex flex their muscles on the beach at Block Island in August.

Right, all that exercise has left them relaxed and happy.

Below, Greg and Alex in the front yard of Greg's house on the north end of Block Island.

A typical afternoon in early autumn . . .

At left, Multitasking: Greg talks with a buddy while petting his best friend. Below left, hanging out in the front yard; below right, digging into homework. Further below, left, Greg and his companion and confidante, Margs; right, getting ready to consume a drink and a burger.

Above, Greg goes fishing under the watchful eye of his Uncle Marc at Carter's Lake, very near his cousins' mountain home in northern Georgia.

At right, having gotten the hang of fly fishing, Greg is on his own at the other end of the dock, while his Mom casts an appreiciative glance his way.
