The Baseball Hall of Fame & Howe Cavern
Greg and his Dad in front of the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Despite the fact that our heroes were wearing their New York Yankees caps, a Boston Red Sox fan agreed to take this picture and did a nice job of it.

Howe Cavern isn't far from Cooperstown, and Greg and his Dad swung by there to check out the massive cave. It's always 52 degrees (Fahrenheit) in the caves, which are more than 150 feet below ground. Below, Greg and Dad manage to look happy, ignoring the cold, the calcium drips that are forming stalagmites and the massive rock formation over their heads, pressing down through millions of years . . .

9th Grade Camp Every year, Greg's school, Edgemont, sends its 9th graders off to camp for three days. Below, the kids trudge along the road to the main lodge.

Boston
About a month after Greg was in 9th Grade Camp, he went off to Boston with his parents to surprise his Aunt Kit for her 50th birthday! Below at historic Faneuil Hall, from left, in the first row, Uncle Harley, cousin Alex, and Dad. Back row,Uncle Felix, Aunts Kit and Jill, and Greg.

Speaking of birthdays, about two weeks after celebrating Kit's, Greg, his parents and Jill and Felix went down to Greg's grandmother's to celebrate No. 82! Below, Dad and Heidi, Jill, Nanny (Grandma), and Greg.
The Mime - The Stations of the Cross Since 1936, the Church of St. James the Less has presented a dramatic mime of the Passion of the Christ every Good Friday. The actors are drawn from the church's Senior Youth Group, and the part of Jesus is almost always played by a senior boy. In 2009, for the first time in memory, a high school freshman played Jesus. The freshman was Greg.

Washington, DC - Spring Break 2009 In a few years spring break will involve Greg heading to southern locales in pursuit of things his parents don't want to know about. But this year, he was content to go with his parents to the nation's capital. Below, the Lofti hang out at the White House, just a couple of months after the Obama family moved in.

Camp Deerwood 2009

Six Flags: Great Adventure

The NEW Yankee Stadium
Greg and his family — Yankees fans all — made their first trip to the new Yankee Stadium to watch the Oakland Athletics. Above, Greg and his Uncle Dave outside the new stadium. Below, Greg and Mom soak in the spectacular new space. Below that, Yankees captain Derek Jeter at bat. Jeter hit a 2-run homer in a losing cause, as the Yanks lost 6-4. The rest of the season turned out pretty well, however.
New York Film Academy
Above, the opening shot of Rendezvous at Six, filmed in Battery Park. Below, a fair maiden is menaced in Bad Reception, and Greg makes a Hitchcock-like cameo in Rendezvous at Six, while his hero catches his breath (hands on knees).
